GSN is kicking off its project with ELEVATE, the leading business risk and sustainability solutions provider, with the goal to optimize GSN Shenzhen's working hour and wage system based on a workers survey and analysis process.

The project timeline is 6-12 months. ELEVATE is going to help and advice GSN Shenzhen on how to achieve the goal of a living wage for the workers through:

• Implementation of skill-based wages above local minimum wage and a performance bonus scheme

• Implementation of a work schedule of 49 hours per week with no work on weekends

• Limiting overtime to a maximum of 36 hours per month

As a first mover in electronics GSN will realign its HR & business strategy to the concept of living wage and by doing so allow its workers to truly benefit from the value they help create for our customers.
