An independent German-Chinese jury with representatives from industry, politics and society decides based on criteria such as impact, relevance, innovation, transferability and sustainability, which companies will be honoured for outstanding social activities in a total of five categories. Out of more than 100 applications this year, presenting innovative and inspiring CSR projects, GSN's Living Wage project was among the 20 finalists, finishing second in the category “Small Enterprises (1-500 employees in China)”.
GSN Living Wage Project
GSN Electronics (Shenzhen) introduced a Living Wage system in October 2018 that provides all employees with a fair opportunity to earn a monthly Living Wage without overtime - during a regular 5-day work week of 40 hours. GSN hereby follows the eco-social business concept TRI-MONY by company founder Frank Martin Pueschel, striving for a Triple Economic Harmony. The objective is to transform monetary profit into social benefits to the maximum reasonable extent.
We are happy with the award, which encourages us to continue on our path as a first mover in the electronics industry for eco-social manufacturing in China.
